Cecil C. Dees, aged 77, passed away on April 29, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and craftsmanship. A proud veteran and skilled carpenter, Cecil built more than structures—he built a life filled with love and devotion to his family and community. Born and raised in Dragerton (East Carbon), Utah, he carried the values of hard work and kindness throughout his lifetime, touching countless lives with his wisdom and generosity.

From the moment he married his high school sweetheart, Christina Pototchnick, Cecil committed himself to a lifetime of love and partnership. Together, they raised three wonderful daughters—Maria D. Santos, Jeanette L. Dees, and Amanda J. Dees—instilling in them the values of family, hard work, and kindness.

Cecil adored his six grandchildren—Joseph Santos, Alexsis Dees, Tony Crisp, Devin Smith, Trey Quinnie, and D’nasia Quinnie—and took immense joy in watching them grow, sharing stories and wisdom from a life well lived. He was also blessed with the arrival of two great-grandchildren, Kalep Guidry Jr. and Niko Ezra Blake Caserotti, whose presence brought an extra spark of joy to his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Dees Sr. and Irene Murphy Dees, as well as his siblings: Kenneth Dees, Barbara Lenich, Carla Pastran, Carl Dees Jr., Clifford Dees, and Calvin Dees.

Cecil’s unwavering spirit, generosity, and commitment to those he loved will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His life was a testament to dedication, resilience, and the enduring power of love.

He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered, as his legacy lives on in every life he touched.
