Price, UT (June 4, 2025) – Castleview Hospital recently announced that certified social work Amy Jones has been recognized as the facility’s 2025 Mercy Award winner. The Mercy Award recognizes one employee from each of Lifepoint Health’s facilities who profoundly touches the lives of others and best represents the spirit and values on which the company was founded.
Established in 2001, the Mercy Award is an annual recognition program that honors the life and contributions of Scott Mercy, Lifepoint’s founding chairman and chief executive officer. The award is considered the highest honor a Lifepoint employee can receive.

Amy goes above and beyond providing exceptional support and service to patients and staff. As the only certified social worker on staff, she is called upon for many reasons, yet regardless of the reason, patients feel better about things after she leaves the room. Amy provides excellent support for tough topics such as violence, substance use, isolation, depression, suicide, death and so much more. It’s also common for Amy to lend a listening ear to her colleagues, offering ideas about self-care or resources. She is empathetic, encouraging and an overall remarkably giving and caring person.
Outside of the hospital Amy is engaged in volunteer work with many of the hospital’s local partners, including the Carbon & Emery Opioid Substance Use Coalition, The Hope Squad, Four Corners Behavioral Health, Southeast Utah Health Department, local law enforcement and more. She also runs the monthly Men’s Mental Health Support Group at Castleview Hospital. Amy’s exemplary care and compassion is far-reaching throughout Castle Country.
In October 2024, Amy was the recipient of the Primary Care and Rural Mental Health Impact Award in honor of her commitment to the community. Just last month, she was presented with the Impact Award by the Utah Department of Health and Human Services.
Each facility winner, including Amy, will be considered for Lifepoint’s 2025 companywide Mercy Award. The companywide winner will be announced this summer and honored during a ceremony in Nashville, Tenn., in August.
