Opening at the turn of the millennium, Gagon Family Medicine has proudly served the residents of the Castle Country for 25 years. To mark this silver anniversary, the clinic hosted a celebration of epic proportions, featuring food, fun and a ribbon-cutting ceremony courtesy of the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce.
Speaking on behalf of the practice was Dr. Shane Gagon, who opened his remarks with a gesture of gratitude,” We’re so blessed to have such a supporting group of people. We’ve been a practice now for 25 years, and we’ve been blessed every second along the way.”
The ribbon cutting served as only one part of the day’s festivities, with the Getting Our Smoke food truck providing free meals to attendees and inflatable slides and games for everyone to enjoy. Bringing the good vibes and the good tunes was KRPX 95.3 the Peak morning show host Mallery Dunn, who was also giving away prizes as a part of Castle Country Radio’s Summer of Fun.
“We have a group of providers here who provide compassionate care and treat everyone like their friends and family,” said Gagon.
Following his remarks, Gagon closed the ceremonial scissors on the ribbon, officially christening the occasion.
Speaking to Castle Country Radio, Gagon shared what it means to him to reach the 25-year milestone. “It means a lot. The way medical practices change it’s really hard to settle in one place. I would say that most providers with over 25 years in the industry have changed jobs a couple of times, so we’ve really been blessed. We’re from this area, and we try to provide high-quality, comprehensive and compassionate care. We aim to treat everyone as friends and family, and it has served us well.”
Reflecting on his 25 years with the practice, Dr. Gagon recounted some of his favorite memories: “I’d say my first delivery was a memorable one, as was my first patient. When we expanded to Huntington, it was another memorable time.”
Looking to the future, Gagon kept his goals simple: “Maintain high-quality care, compassionate care and whole person care for the next 15 to 20 years.”
