As excitement mounts for the newest addition to the Superman franchise, Dave and Ryan’s Movie Review, along with Eastern Utah Community Credit Union, are partnering to bring a member-exclusive premiere showing of the film to the Castle Country on Friday, July 11.

Dave Hocanson from Dave and Ryan’s Movie Review, alongside Paige Anderson from EUCCU, sat down with the KOAL newsroom to preview the event and discuss where the proceeds from the premiere will be directed.

“As everybody should know by now, July 11 is a big day if you are a comic book movie fan or a superhero fan. And we’re going to get a reimagining, a new Superman. And this is James Gunn. This is the same guy who did Guardians of the Galaxy. A lot of people are excited,” said Hocanson. “Paige called us up and said, ‘Hey, why don’t you guys come and let’s have some fun with this movie premiere.'”

Anderson added,” Myself and our president, Bruce Yost, we’re big movie fans. So a couple of years ago, we wanted to share that passion with our members. And so we started putting on member movie nights. This is the first time we’re hosting one during the summer, but it’s a great opportunity to get together with all our members. And we also use it as an opportunity to raise money for our Angel Tree.”

While tickets to the event are exclusive to EUCCU members, Anderson explained the simple steps to open an account. “As long as you work, live, or worship in any of our five counties, so Carbon and Emery County, you guys are covered. It’s just $25. You come on in, and we’ll get your account set up, and then you can come grab your tickets.”

Tickets for the event are available at any EUCCU branch and will cost $3, with all proceeds going directly to the Angel Tree.

Hocanson spoke on the benefit of attending this premiere,” That’s the great thing about this. You’re going to get to see it before anybody in Carbon County does. And we’re going to do some trivia for some prizes, and they usually always knock it out of the park.”

Closing our discussion, Anderson ran through the details one last time: “Come join us, Eastern Utah Community Credit Union and Dave and Ryan’s Movie Review on July 11 at 4 p.m. at the King Koal Theatre to come watch the new Superman movie. Pick up your tickets ahead of time at any of our branches. Tickets are $3, and they support our Angel Tree.”
