Price, UT- The Utah State Eastern Women’s Soccer program has been recognized as the NJCAA Women’s Co-Academic Team of the Year, boasting an outstanding 3.79 team GPA, one of the highest marks in the nation across all divisions.
This prestigious honor is awarded annually by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) to programs that demonstrate exceptional academic achievement while balancing the demands of collegiate athletics.
“This is one of the most prestigious academic honors a program can receive,” said Director of Athletics Jess Brinkerhoff. “It speaks volumes about the commitment and character of these student-athletes. To be recognized as the top academic team in the entire NJCAA is absolutely incredible, and it highlights the culture of excellence our women’s soccer program continues to build on and off the field.”
The award reflects the unified efforts of the student-athletes, coaching staff, academic advisors, and athletic department in fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. The Eagle’s 3.79 team GPA stands as a point of pride not only within the athletic department but across the entire campus.
“I couldn’t be prouder of this group of women,” says head coach Tracy Brady. “They are incredibly hard-working and hold themselves to the highest standards. This award is a reflection of the culture we’ve built at USUE, where academic and athletic excellence go hand in hand. These girls are not only strong athletes but also driven students and outstanding people. They definitely have proven this. I have no doubt they will go on to do great things in their lives.”
In addition to the team’s collective success, several student-athletes were also recognized for their academic accomplishments, further underscoring the program’s dedication to excellence in the classroom.
