The Lady Spartan volleyball squad got started on the right foot on Tuesday night when the South Sevier Rams came to Castle Dale. Playing in front of the home crowd at the Spartan Center, Emery didn’t disappoint, closing out the Rams in straight sets.

All three sets were very competitive as each team pushed the other to their limits. In set number one, it would go back-and-forth and Emery came out on top 25-22. In the second set, it was a battle going the distance and then some as the Lady Spartans earned a 28-26 win.

The third and what would be final set was another fight with Emery squeezing out the 25-23 win, closing out the Rams in three straight sets.

The Lady Spartans will be on the court in Delta on Thursday. Then they won’t be back home until the following Thursday, the 21st, when the Grand County Red Devils make the trip from Moab.
