Kelley James Manhard was born on June 2, 1983 in Salt Lake City, Utah to his mother, Karen Manhard and father, John Manhard. Kelley unexpectedly passed away on September 10, 2025 in Price, Utah. Kelley was raised in Salt Lake City and Price, Utah with his twin brother Dustin.
Kelley was completely obsessed with Dolly Parton and loved to crochet and made the most beautiful afghans. He would make them for everyone who asked. He loved American traditional tattoos and loved all animals.
Kelley loved everyone no matter your background, your love life, or anything else. He didn’t care. He loved people and always tried to make everyone happy. He had the BEST LAUGH! A laugh that could fill a room and was so contagious. He also gave the best BEAR HUGS! You could feel his love for you with his hugs. That is where he got his nickname “Bear”.
He was a proud member of the LGBTQ community. In February of 2024, Kelley received the Carbon County Tourism Super Service Award. He could remember your name right away and never met a stranger.
He’s survived by his siblings, Tamera Starr Manhard Ellis, Billy Elgin, Jason Manhard, Michael Paul Manhard, and Michelle Rubio along with his many cousins, nieces, nephews, and so many friends; and his dog Bear, who was his loving companion.
Kelley is preceded in death by his father, John Manhard; his mother, Karen Manhard; his twin brother, Dustin Manhard; and his siblings, Little John Manhard, Andrea Manhard and Michael Shane Manhard.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mitchell Funeral Home, Officer Jordan West, and Sgt. Shawn Sackett for taking care of our Bear!
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends and family are always welcome daily and may share memories of Kelley online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
