The Spartan golf squad traveled to Stasbury Park and the Stansbury Golf Course on Monday for the final Region 13 match of the season, the Region Championship. Union claimed the top finish, closing out its perfect region season as it shot a 299. Emery finished in third with a 319.

Union was the wire-to-wire winner of the region with a clean sweep of matches this season. Carbon finished in second with a 316, and Emery, with a 319, took third. North Sanpete (340) and Manti (354) rounded out the field.

Easton Stoker was the top finisher for Emery, shooting a 75, just four strokes off of Levi King of Carbon and his low round of the day, a 71.  Champ Justice and Bronx Olsen both carded an 81. With his score on Monday, Justice finished in the top ten of Region 13 with his combined score across all matches of 555. Brendon Behunin and his score of 82 rounded out the scoring for the Spartans. Peyton Nielson (86), Owen Blackham (87), Crew Behling (94), and Statton Bingham (100) made up the team for Emery.

The Spartans will take the remainder of the week off and prepare for the State Championships on October 8 & 9 at the Stansbury Park Course once again.
