Our loving mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Kathleen “Kitty” Therese Harrington, age 92, passed away peacefully at the Good Life Senior Living on October 16, 2025.

Kitty was born August 20, 1933 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts to Colin and Alberta Hebert Keegan. She married her high school sweetheart John Harrington on August 20, 1955. He passed away on August 15, 2022.

John and Kitty lived in El Paso, Texas where they both worked at White Sands Missile Base in New Mexico. Mom was an executive secretary for a General.  Dad was transferred to the Green River Missile Base in 1969.  We then moved to Dragerton, Utah, where Mom worked as City Recorder and was instrumental in incorporating Dragerton into becoming East Carbon City, UT.

Dad got transferred because the Green River Missile Base closed, to Worms, Germany.  They both worked as civil servants at the German Missile Base in Worms.  Several years later they retired and moved back to the states.   They later moved to Helper and became crafters, traveling through western states selling their homemade items.  Mom made jams, jellies, her famous crocheted kitchen towels, and hundreds of crocheted and knitted items. Sadly, none of her daughters wanted to learn her talent for crocheting and knitting.

Mom is survived by her children, Melody (Bob) Marrelli, Mark (Jona) Harrington and  Melissa Harrington; she is also survived by ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Harrington; brother, Ted; two children, Mike and Audrey and her grandson, Levi.

Kitty, our Mom, will be greatly missed by all.

Memorial graveside service Saturday, November 8, 2025, 11:30 a.m., Mt. View Cemetery, Helper, Utah.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Kitty at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
