The Utah State Eastern women’s soccer team played host to two conference foes in their second-to-last home weekend of the 2025 regular season. The Eagles welcomed the North Idaho College Cardinals and Pacific Northwest Christian College to Price, Utah, for a weekend of dominance by the Eagles.

The Eagles opened the weekend with a faceoff with North Idaho, which was opened by a Kate Heaton goal in the 22nd minute to give USU Eastern a 1-0 lead. Six other Eastern shots in the first half forced the NIC goalkeeper to make two saves. Eastern, however, would end the half with a 1-0 lead.

Emmalee Christensen scored in the 52nd minute to extend USUE’s lead to 2-0 on a ball assisted by Sarah NewmanEmma Bargeron scored in the 62nd minute to put the finishing touches on the match. Eastern walked away with a 3-0 victory.

Saturday afternoon featured the most significant margin of victory this season for the Eagles. Eastern dominated their way to a 10-0 win over Pacific Northwest, their most significant margin of victory since a 10-0 win over the same school nearly one year ago.

Eastern scored in the fourth minute on a goal by Paisley Ashworth. Ashworth’s second goal, just two minutes later, gave Eastern an early 2-0 lead. Emmalee Christensen scored just one second later to make Eastern’s lead 3-0. Davin Dix scored in the 10th minute for Eastern’s fourth goal in the first ten minutes. Ashworth scored again in the 14th minute to give her a hat trick in the first 15 minutes of the match. Christensen scored her second of the match in the 16th minute to give Eastern a 6-0 lead. Kinley Hicks scored in the 16th minute to extend Eastern’s lead to 7-0. Sariah Taeoalii added a goal in the 18th minute to give Eastern an 8-0 lead. Kayla Stoddard scored in the 45th minute to give Eastern a 9-0 lead going into the break.

Christensen scored in the 58th minute to complete her own hat trick as Eastern finished the match with a 10-0 victory.

Next for the Eagles is a match against Truckee Meadows Community College on October 23. The Eagles currently sit at 8-4-3 on the season and 6-3-3 in conference play. That record places them in third place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference standings.
