Continuing its tradition of giving back to the community and its members alike, Eastern Utah Community Credit Union prepares for its movie premiere fundraiser to benefit the Castle Country Angels Tree. In addition to giving back to the community, the premiere also offers EUCCU members the chance to see ‘Wicked: For Good’ 24 hours before the general public.
Alex Flores from EUCCU joined the KOAL newsroom to discuss the event and the importance of giving back to the community and its members.
“We think it’s just another great way to give back to our members, having it be kind of an exclusive event, but also acting as a way to give back to the community through the Castle Country Angel Tree,” explained Flores. “That’s something that we take a lot of pride in. With all of our community events like the Great Piggy Payout, the Great Piggy Easter hunt, all that is just aimed toward giving back to the community, which is why we think it’s really important to hold events like this.”
The premiere takes place on Thursday, Nov. 20, at the King Koal Theatre in Price, beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $4 each, with all proceeds benefiting The Angel Tree. Tickets can be purchased at any EUCCU branch.
Flores continued, speaking on the benefits of the event for EUCCU members: “It’ll be a really great opportunity. We haven’t really done something like this before, showing a movie 24 hours in advance, and that’s really a luxury you’re getting through being a member with us.”
He added, “It’ll be a great time for the whole family. People will bring their kids. Tickets are going fast. So you want to head to the branch and pick them up. It’s a pretty heavy discount from the regular prices of the King Koal Theatre.”
Closing our conversation, Flores shared,” I encourage everyone to come out and enjoy this event that we’re putting on. It’ll be a great time.”
