Following another successful rendition of the Joe’s Valley Boulder Fest, the event’s parent organization, Joe’s Valley Climbing and Community, is seeking to expand its board of directors.

“At Joe’s Valley Climbing & Community, our mission is to enhance the local economy, build community, and drive sustainability by bringing rock climbers and locals together around our shared enthusiasm for the outdoors. Our organization is broken into three pillars: Joe’s Valley Fest and Events, Joe’s Valley Coalition, and Joe’s Valley Youth,” reads a release from the nonprofit. “We are currently looking to expand our board of directors and are searching for two enthusiastic, passionate individuals who are interested in furthering our mission and impact through development of our programming.”

Outside of helping curate one of the premier bouldering festivals in the United States, Joe’s Valley Climbing and Community hosts a pump-a-thon competition and offers youth in the community the chance to experience the thrill of climbing through day camps and climbing clubs.

Community members interested in applying are encouraged to send a letter of interest to JoesValleyFest@gmail.com. The letter should include:

* Where you live,

* Why you want to join the JVCC Board, and

* Why the success of the organization and its mission are important to you.

Positions will remain open until filled, but the nonprofit encourages interested applicants to apply by Sunday, Nov. 23, to meet initial review timelines.
