Following her victory in the 2025 general election, Price City Mayor-elect Terry Willis, alongside Councilmember Layne Miller, has created five main goals for Price as it undergoes its change in administration.

“We’ve got a solid foundation here in Price, and we want to keep building on what already works,” Mayor-elect Willis said in a news release. “These goals are really about staying connected, keeping our city the lively place we all love, and taking good care of both our people and our budget.”

Miller echoed these sentiments, sharing,” These priorities help us keep things steady while still moving forward,” Miller said. “When we work together, stay organized, and look out for our community, Price City can keep growing in a positive, balanced way.”

The goals set by the duo for the city include:

  • Continuing the traditional practices and programs that have helped Price City thrive.
  • Repairing and improving internal relationships across city departments to build stronger teamwork and smoother day-to-day operations.
  • Keeping community events going strong and finding ways to make them even better for residents.
  • Strengthening communication and collaboration with residents and with neighboring communities in Carbon County to support progress across the region.
  • Paying close attention to the city budget to maintain long-term financial stability and make responsible decisions.

Miller also shared that these goals help balance the city’s growth while keeping traditional events and activities thriving.

The pair encourages citizens to get involved with the city by attending city council meetings and speaking to elected officials to share comments and concerns about the town and its ongoing projects.

To help citizens engage with the city, Castle Country Radio has partnered with Price to livestream every city council meeting, with full archives available on YouTube immediately after each meeting. These streams are available online at KOAL – Castle Country Focus.
