The Carbon boys’ wrestling squad welcomed in the Wildcats of South Summit on Tuesday evening in the first of four contests this week. The Dinos went 6-8 in 14 matches and fell to the Wildcats, 40-31.
Carbon will be very busy this week before they get time off for the Christmas break. On Wednesday, they will welcome the Grantsville Cowboys for matches that will also feature the Lady Dinos in action. Thursday is a trip to North Sanpete, and then the weekend will wrap up with the Christmas Clash in Farmington on Friday and Saturday.
In matches against South Summit, Jantz Greenhalgh at 106 and Ashdyn Densley at 113 each turned in dominant performances, winning technical falls over the Wildcats’ Ford Thornton and Tuff Thornton. Riker O’Hearon kept his winning ways with a win over Zain Winter at 150 pounds.
Jack Burdick (165)took the win over Steele Woodward by a 13-8 decision, while JJ Ruden at 215 earned a win by pin over Beau Jackson, and Jared Simmons collected a pin over Guy Conklin.
