On Wednesday evening, the Lady Dinos were on the road to Ogden again to face the Ben Lomond Scots. It was the final contest for the Dinos before the Christmas break, and they were ready for some time off as they held the Scots to 10 total points and walked away with the 50-10 victory.

The Dinos were coming off a tough loss to Ogden on Tuesday, 42-32, and didn’t have to travel far to get back in the win column at Ben Lomond, the two schools are six miles apart. This contest also marked the final game for the Lady Dinos before the Christmas break.

Carbon put the game away in the first quarter, jumping out to a 23-6 lead. That would continue into the second quarter, when the Lady Dinos owned it as well, scoring 22 and holding the Scots to 1 point, and leading 45-7 at halftime.

The Lady Dinos were on cruise control in the second half, going scoreless in the third, but allowed just one to Ben Lomond. In the fourth, Carbon added just five more points and closed out the Scots 50-10, earning their sixth win of the season.

Bailey Johnson scored 15 to lead Carbon. She also added three assists and two rebounds. Malia Smith and Saren Nelson both scored seven, with Smith grabbing five steals, a rebound, and an assist, and Nelson added five rebounds, an assist, and a steal in the win.

The Lady Dinos will now get a well-deserved rest to start the Christmas break.

They will get back on the court on December 30, when they will welcome Pineview.
