Elna Dora Alger Christensen of Carbon County, Utah was called home by her parents and son on December 23rd, 2025 surrounded by family.
Elna was born April 14th, 1947 in Price Utah to Harold and LaRue Alger. She graduated a proud EC Viking, then followed her father’s footsteps into the army: Ordinance Supply. She always loved and honored all vets, but she had a soft spot for the Vietnam Vets, who she always referred to as, “Her guys”. After honorably serving her country for years, she lovingly served her community for many more, working for The Carbon Hospital, and as a county clerk, a dispatcher, a member of city council, and for 25 years, as a receptionist at Carbon Medical, where she knew everyone by name and made them feel as comfortable and cared for as family; naturally knitting her communities together, even literally, with a talent for sewing, crocheting, crafts, and taste for fashion.
She enjoyed Monday Night Bowling with friends, and winning drag races in her candy-apple red ‘56 Chevy. Among the many gifts she passed down was a great love of music. She always had a song in her heart and on her lips for any occasion, rain or shine, for motivating, or relaxing, crying, dancing, or just singing at the top of her lungs! She laughed during thunderstorms and taught her children to dance in the rain. She labored and loved without limits.
She is now reunited with her parents and her beloved son Danny as well as multiple friends and family members.
Those remaining to cherish Elna’s memories are her daughters, Kori Miller and Becki (Joe) Morrison; six grandkids, Julian, Mikah (Tommy), Danyan (Jade), Joven, Shaylan, and Kael; four great-grandkids, her five sisters, Leslie, Vicki, Colleen, Donna, and Clara; and husband, Darwin Christensen, along with countless relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends and family are always welcome daily and may share memories of Elna online at www.mitchellfuneralhom.net.
