On Tuesday evening, the Carbon Dino boys wrestling squad made the trip to Richfield for one of the final wrestling matches of the regular season. In a hotly contested match, Carbon came away with a 38-34 victory, winning seven of the 14 matches.

This was the opening match of a very busy week for the Dinos. Wednesday, they welcome in the Union Cougars for Senior Night at Carbon High School, then Thursday, they will travel to Emery County to take on the Spartans at the Spartan Center. They will wind up the week in Farmington, taking part in The Rumble.

At 106 lb, Jaden Barlow got things started for the Dinos, taking a win by forfeit in his match. JJ Munoz earned his win over Easton Utley by a major decision of 20-8.  Kayden Smith took Cannon Winters to the mat, pinning him for his victory at 126 lb.

Riker O’Hearon at 144 lb got the win by technical fall over Tyler Waters, Trace Crispin at 150 lb won his match over Everett Lindsay by technical fall 20 to 2, Jack Burdick at 157 lb earned a win in his match by Ryker Boren by injury timeout, and Andrew Keifer at 285 lb earned a win by forfeit.

Carbon will welcome the Union Cougars to the gym at Carbon High School tonight, starting at 5:00, for senior night.
