The Spartans spent the last weekend of the regular season in Salina, taking part in the North Sevier Invitational. With 20 schools from around the state participating, Emery earned a 13th-place finish overall and four top-ten individual finishes.

Altamont claimed the top spot overall, followed by Cedar in second. San Juan, Juab, and Crimson Cliffs rounded out the top five.

Dayton Farley was the top finisher for the Spartans, taking third place in the 144-pound class. After receiving a first-round bye, he earned a win in the second round only to collect his only loss in the quarterfinals to Royce Decker of Desert Hills. Farley put together four straight wins, including avenging his only loss in the third-place match, where he faced Decker again, this time winning by pin.  Damon Farley earned a fifth-place finish at 157 pounds, going 4-2, earning a win by pin in the fifth-place match over Jayce Raisor of San Juan.

Corbin Brady went 3-3 in his match, landing in sixth place after falling to Kyle Tebbs of Canyon View by technical fall in the fifth-place match. Ty Christiansen, at 120 pounds, finished in sixth with a 2-3 mark, falling in the fifth-place match to Tate Torgerson of North Sevier by pin.

Emery will now be off until Friday and Saturday, when they will travel to Roosevelt for the Divisional round of the state tournament at Union High School.

The Divisionals will be followed up by the State Championships on February 4 & 5 at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield.
