Margie (Sandoval) Duran, passed away on January 12, 2026, at the age of 77, at Parkway Health and Rehab in Payson, Utah.

Margie was born in Durango, Colorado on January 27, 1948, to Antonio and Apolonia (Jacquez) Sandoval. She was the fourth of eight children; Bessie (Juan) Montealegre, Gilbert (Genevive) Sandoval, Hank Sandoval, Louise (Candido) Manzanares, Josie (Jesse) Alcon, Deloris (Buddy) Quintana, and Joanne (Steven) Manzanares.

She married Fred Duran, Jr. on May 7, 1966. Together, they had four children, Fred (Ann) Duran, Bernadette (Duane) Quintana, Marie Duran, and Jennifer (Joe) Martinez.

Margie graduated from Carbon High School and later attended C.E.U. where she received her degree in cosmetology. Her greatest joy was being with her grandkids, great-grandkids, and with her family. She was a member of the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church parish in Price. Margie was a private person. Before her accident, she was comfortable at home, being a mother and wife and enjoying a cup of coffee with her mom.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff and care centers that provided her loving care over the past few years.

Survived by her son and daughters; siblings; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband; her daughter, Jennifer Martinez; parents, Antonio and Apolonia Sandoval; brothers; brothers-in-law; and grandsons, Tony Duran and David Duran; and a son-in-law.

Vigil Service, Tuesday, January 20, 2026, 7:00 p.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church (210 North Carbon Avenue) in Price. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday evening one hour prior to the service. Funeral Mass, will take place the following day, Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the church. The family will also receive friends that morning one hour prior to the mass. Committal service, Price City Cemetery.
