Maude Marie (Snow) Killpack, age 94, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at AdventHealth Hospital in Parker, Colorado.

Maude was born June 27, 1931, to Grant and Lillie (Davis) Snow of Orangeville, Utah. She was the 2nd daughter of three, (Leah and Sylvia). She loved growing up in Orangeville attending Elementary school and then Junior and Senior High School in Ferron. At an early age, she learned to love music and enjoyed singing with the school and church choirs. Later in life, she sang with church and community choirs throughout the county. In High School, she also was a twirler in the Pep Club.

Maude dated Dwight Killpack from Ferron and on May 8, 1950, they were married. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. They lived in Ferron with Dwight’s parents for a short time. Dwight worked road construction and moved around the state with his job including stints in St. George, Delta, and Torrey. As the family grew they decided to move home to Ferron. They rented an apartment while they built their home on State Street. In 1968, Maude went back to school at the College of Eastern Utah in Price to get her Cosmetology Degree. Upon graduation, she began working as a hair stylist in her shop they built as an addition to their home.

She was the greatest mother and teacher to five children, Parke (Laurel) Killpack, Emery, Utah, Bevan (Rebecca) Killpack, St. George, Utah, Kollynne (Sam) Farison, Louisville, Kentucky, Kollette (Mike) Cologie, Castle Dale, Utah, and Kyle (Jean) Killpack, Parker, Colorado. She was a special grandma (Mema) to 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren with two more on the way.

After Dwight’s retirement they moved to Trinidad, Colorado, where they lived while Dwight supervised the building of a coal wash plant. This is where the two of them took up golf. Dwight enjoyed golf but Maude made it a lifestyle. She played as much golf as she could. After moving back to Ferron, they decided the winters were too cold and purchased a Park Model Trailer in Tempe, Arizona, and enjoyed the snowbird lifestyle. After Dwight’s death in 2006, Maude met and married Larry Farison from Louisville, Kentucky, in 2011. They enjoyed five wonderful years living between Kentucky and Florida. After Larry died in 2016, Maude moved back to Ferron where she resumed the role of Mema and golfer at the Millsite Golf Course. Maude also lived in assisted living centers in Mapleton, Utah, Price, Utah, St. George, Utah, and most recently in Parker, Colorado. She had many good friends in each of these facilities and was given such loving care while there.

Maude played in ladies’ golf leagues in Ferron, St. George, and Florida. She loved playing with her twin daughters, Kollynne and Kollette. Maude loved and followed the Utah Jazz and was even honored as a guest at a home game in the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. Her love for her children and grandchildren were passionate. She gave each of them individual attention and treated them as if they were her favorite. All her grandchildren loved their Mema and felt special whenever they came to her house.

Maude was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities including, Relief Society President and Primary President. She also served in the Stake Relief Society Presidency. She served as Ward Chorister and Ward Choir Director. She loved the temple and worked in the Manti Temple while living in Ferron.

Even at 94 years old, her mind was as strong and clear as ever. She could remember people and names as well as events that she participated in throughout her life. Her arthritis riddled body wouldn’t allow her to play golf the last few years of her life and it took a toll on her. Maude always said, “nobody calls me,” yet she got more phone calls than any of her children or grandchildren. She had friends in every part of the country.

Maude is preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Lillie Snow; sister and brother-in-law, Leah and Lloyd Wilberg; husbands, Dwight and Larry; daughter-in-law, Toni Ward Killpack; son- in-law, Lloyd Huntington; and grandson, Brody Killpack.

Maude is survived by her sister, Sylvia (Merrill) Scow of Tempe, Arizona; sons, Parke, Bevan, and Kyle; twin daughters, Kollynne and Kollette; 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 9+(2) great-great-grandchildren.
