Looking to add to the already stellar team at A Perfect Smile, the office celebrates the addition of Dr. Aaron Wellborn.
Dr. Wellborn joined the KOAL newsroom to discuss his experience in the dental world and what he enjoys most about working with A Perfect Smile.
“It was one of those decisions that you make while jumping around from major to major in college. I quickly discovered, by shadowing another doctor, that they got to work with their hands, hang out with their patients, and get to know people in the community better. And it really appealed to me,” explained Wellborn of his origin.
He continued,” I went to UNLV in Las Vegas for my undergraduate. And I spent most of my time in Southern Utah, Southern Nevada, and Southern California. But I was invited to Oregon Health & Science, and fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. And I got stuck up there. In fact, I’ve just spent the last 25 years in Seattle practicing in a private practice there.”
The doctor also discussed what led him to join A Perfect Smile: “I thought I was retired. And I came back down to Utah to be closer to three of my five children. And as it turns out, I was just bored. And I think I retired too early.”
In his free time, Dr. Wellborn likes to spend time with his grandchildren, camp, hike, raft and explore the outdoors.
Switching focus, Wellborn spoke on the atmosphere at A Perfect Smile,” We’ve got a good group of people, and I might be the senior guy for the three doctors that work there, kind of the oldest man on the block. But Dr. Jackson and Dr. Talbot are really amazing dentists, and I like watching them interact with their patients, too.”
Closing our conversation, Dr. Wellborn stated,” I look forward to meeting the rest of the community, and I’d be happy to take care of anyone who’d like to come see us at A Perfect Smile.”
