On Tuesday, Region 13 found itself in Roosevelt, facing the Union Cougars’ home golf course. Union once again was head and shoulders above the rest of the region, taking first place, and Carbon came in fifth in a field of five.

The Cougars led the way with 367 strokes. North Sanpete finished second with 411. Emery (426), Manti (429), and Carbon (443) rounded out the field. Union’s Brielle Ross turned in the low round of the day with an 88.

For Carbon, Leah Sweeney carded a 106. Zaya Olsen shot a 110, Erin Hurst had a 113, and Kaycee Richardson and Liv Rondinelli each shot a 114.

Madi Barlow collected a 118 with Jocelyn Freeman carding a 122 and Sammi Leroy a 130 for the Dinos.

The Lady Dinos stay in the basin on Wednesday when they travel to Vernal to play the Dinaland course, for the final match of the regular season.

On April 27, they travel to Stansbury Park for the Region Championships and then will return on May 6 & 7 for the State Championships.
