Message from Price City Mayor Terry Willis
It’s been a few months since the last update. Price City has been very busy as we transition from winter to spring.
The Carbon Avenue Canal project was finished a little early and came in under budget. We can give a little credit for a mild winter, but most of the kudos go to our staff for staying on top of this project and finding solutions for problems as they surfaced.
Over the Easter weekend our crews were faced with three major water breaks due to a pressure valve failure. The crews worked through the night to address the problem and take care of the broken pipes in a methodical manner that made sure we didn’t have further pipe damage.
Pedestrian safety has stayed an important piece of what we are working on. We have added signs that are installed in many cross walks reminding drivers that it is state law to stop for pedestrians in the cross walks. Flashing stop signs are installed at the 100 North 400 East intersection are a great improvement.
Finally, as we move into the summer months, I want to remind everyone that water conservation is all of our responsibility. Please check out our water wise link on the www.priceutah.gov website. We can get through this drought if we work together and make sure we are all doing our part.
