Utah Department of Motor Vehicles officials would like to inform the public that they will open their doors for business at their new location inside the Carbon County Administration building located at 751 East 100 North on Monday, June 26. The office will open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and closed major holidays.
The move was announced in May by Carbon County officials when they were approached by representatives from the DMV with a proposal to rent space in the building. Specifically, the office space that was occupied by Carbon Recreation, who have since moved to the Carbon County Fairgrounds Event Center. Commissioners and other county representatives worked together to determine if they could facilitate this request and after careful consideration the county made the decision to move forward. Many factors contributed to the decision to move forward from the conveniences to the community to providing easier collaboration between the DMV and Carbon County Clerks/Auditor and Assessors. The DMV will pay rent to the county and the monies will go directly to the general fund.
