Abajo Mountains – Good
Several lakes and reservoirs on the Abajo Mountains and around Monticello have been stocked with rainbow trout recently. Monticello Lake has been stocked with 1,300 rainbow trout over the past month. Anglers have also been catching trout easily at Lloyd’s Lake. Use spinners, worms and PowerBait for catching trout in these locations.
Academy Mill Reservoir – Fair
Academy Mill Reservoir is now accessible, but exercise caution as roads may still be muddy. Try using worms, jigs and other traditional lures to catch trout here.
Benches Pond – Good
Benches Pond was stocked with 1,000 rainbow trout on June 2. Use worms, PowerBait or spinners for catching trout here.
Blue Lake – Good
Blue Lake is now open and accessible. Exercise caution as roads may still be muddy. Try using worms, jigs and other traditional lures to catch trout here.
Boulger Reservoir – Good
Rainbow trout, and even some cutthroat trout, are biting on salmon eggs at Boulger Reservoir. PowerBait has been less effective. Try also using worms or spinners here. Boulger was stocked with 2,400 rainbow trout averaging almost 9 inches long on June 2.
Carbon County Community Fishing Pond – Good
The Carbon County Community Fishing Pond was stocked with 2,000 rainbow trout on May 9. Worms and PowerBait have worked best at catching fish here.
Cleveland Reservoir – Fair
Anglers report slow to fair fishing on Cleveland Reservoir. Some have had luck catching cutthroat and rainbow trout on spinners and PowerBait. You may also have some luck with a fly; try using bead head buggers or leeches. Cleveland Reservoir was stocked with nearly 2,000 rainbow trout averaging over 10 inches long on June 13.
Duck Fork Reservoir – Fair
Duck Fork Reservoir is now accessible. However, roads may still be muddy, so use caution. Try using worms, PowerBait or spinners for catching trout here.
Electric Lake – Slow
The water at Electric Lake is still high and murky from spring runoff. Anglers have had little to no success trolling with dodgers here. Access to the boat ramp has been easy for most anglers.
Fairview Lakes – Fair
Fairview Lakes are now accessible, however, roads may still be muddy. Exercise caution. Try using worms, PowerBait or spinners for catching trout here.
Ferron Reservoir – Good
Ferron Reservoir was stocked with 1,600 rainbow trout on June 14. Try using worms, PowerBait, spinners or wet flies for catching trout here.
Gigliotti Pond – Good
Gigliotti Pond was stocked with 1,500 10-inch rainbow trout on May 9. Worms and PowerBait have worked best for catching fish here.
Gooseberry Reservoir – Good
Gooseberry Reservoir was stocked with 2,200 rainbow trout on June 14. Try using worms, PowerBait, spinners or wet flies for catching trout here.
Grassy Lake – Good
Grassy Lake was stocked with rainbow trout twice in the month of June, adding about 2,200 9-inch fish to the lake. PowerBait, worms and spinners are a safe bet for catching trout here.
Huntington Game Farm Pond – Good
Try using worms and PowerBait for catching trout and bluegill at Huntington Game Farm Pond.
Huntington North Reservoir – Fair
Anglers are catching bluegill and largemouth bass along the dam at Huntington North Reservoir using spinners or worms. Try using crayfish imitation lures, tube jigs or other plastics for catching wiper here, though fishing from shore has been difficult due to high water levels.
Huntington Reservoir – Good
Anglers are catching tiger trout at Huntington Reservoir using flies in bead head bugger and leech patterns. Try also using a worm near the bottom or spinners.
Joes Valley Reservoir – Fair
Try using ¼-ounce jig heads with white plastic tubes or chub meat for catching cutthroat trout, tiger trout or splake at Joes Valley Reservoir.
Knight-Ideal Community Fishing Pond – Good
Try using PowerBait or worms for catching rainbow trout at the Knight-Ideal Community Fishing Pond.
La Sal Mountains – Good
Several lakes on the La Sal Mountains out of Moab have been stocked with rainbow trout, including Dons, Hidden, Oowah, Dark Canyon, Warner and Kens lakes. Try using worms, spinners and PowerBait for catching these.
Lower Fish Creek – Slow
With high, fast and murky water levels, fishing has been slow on Lower Fish Creek. As water levels drop, fishing for brown trout will improve here.

Miller Flat Reservoir – Good
Millers Flat Reservoir was stocked with 21,200 5-inch rainbow trout on June 12. These fish will grow quickly, and there are other larger fish in the reservoir already. Try using worms, PowerBait, spinners or wet flies for catching trout here.
Millsite Reservoir & State Park – Slow
Fishing has been slow at Millsite Reservoir, but the fishing may improve as water levels drop off this summer. Try using worms, PowerBait and spinners for catching trout here.
Petes Hole – Good
Petes Hole was stocked twice in the month of June, adding 2,800 9-inch rainbow trout to the reservoir. Try using worms, PowerBait, spinners or wet flies for catching these trout.
Potters Ponds – Good
Potters Ponds are open and were stocked collectively with more than 3,400 10-inch rainbow trout in mid and late June. Try using worms, PowerBait and spinners for catching trout here.
Right Fork of Huntington Creek – Slow
With high, fast and murky water levels, fishing has been slow on the right fork of Huntington Creek. As water levels drop, fishing for brown trout will improve here.
Scofield Reservoir – Good
The water is still high at Scofield Reservoir, but many anglers have had success catching spawning chubs. Scofield was also stocked with 12,400 cutthroat trout on April 20. Try using worms, spinners and PowerBait for chubs and trout, or chub meat for larger trout.
Soup Bowl – Good
Soup Bowl was stocked with rainbow trout on June 8 and again on June 20, adding some 1,400 fish averaging 9 inches long. Try using worms, PowerBait and spinners for catching these.
Willow Lake – Good
Willow Lake was stocked with 1,600 rainbow trout averaging almost 10.5 inches on June 14. Try using worms, PowerBait, wet flies and spinners for catching these.
Wrigley Springs Reservoir – Fair
