Carbon County residents have seen several Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies taking place over the last few weeks, both in brand new and/or grand re-openings. Although, the city was informed of another corporate retail store leaving the area, there is still a plethora of “mom and pop” businesses calling Carbon County home and there is more to come.

“We have some ribbon cuttings coming up. We have the South East Early Intervention grand re-opening, it’s going to be opening at a new location that’s at noon. Then on the 13th, the very next day, we have Castleview Neurology which is opening,” said Robert Oliver, President. “As well as the East Carbon Dental on the 20th of July, then on the 21st of July we have the Arts Center.” A ribbon cutting is a great way for businesses to introduce their services and products to the community.

Each month the chamber hosts a luncheon as an opportunity members to network with other business owners and/or other community residents. “It’s going to be at the USU-Eastern location and our speaker is going to be Michael Barrett. His topic is going to be Employee Discrimination: How to know your rights and responsibilities. Again, at our luncheons, we announce our Business Spotlight, as well as our Community Service Spotlight, which is something new we’ve been doing,” said Oliver. The chamber works diligently to build and sustain a vibrant business community in the county through their services.

The membership rates are $75.00 for non-profit/homestead or $175.00 for membership only. There are also partnership opportunities beginning at $400.00 up to $2,000.00. Oliver finished with, “Everyone come to the luncheon and come to these ribbon cuttings and welcome these new businesses in Carbon County.”
