Matthew Wayne Thomas passed away peacefully surrounded by everyone who loved him on November 13th, 2017 in Provo, Utah at Utah Valley Hospital at the age of 37.
He was born October 30th, 1980 in Price, Utah to Ronald and Patricia Anderson Thomas. Married Anna Winder on June 8, 2002 in Helper, Utah.
Matt was quick to find the humor in any situation. He always had a nickname, a catch phrase or a personalized greeting that let you know you meant something to him. Good or bad. If you needed someone in your corner, he was your guy and was always there to lend a hand. He was honest and would get straight to the point. He felt pride in being a dedicated coal-miner that worked himself to the bone. He also loved his time employed at Price City. He was devoted to his family and his dog, no matter the cost. He was the epitome of a REAL man.
With a beer in his hand and a camel from his lips, he enjoyed the outdoors and everything that goes with it. He appreciated a good conversation and brought light to any topic with a vulgar joke or a YouTube video. It was truly a pleasure to be in his company.

Survived by his wife and Soul Mate of 20 years, Anna “Honey” Thomas; His 4 amazing boys, Jordan and Levi Thomas and Jaydon and Ashton Freeze; Twin Brother, Mikey (Rosa) Thomas; Sisters, Melyssa “Mo” Basso and Cindy Mitchell; Brothers, Jason Freeze and Rick Thomas; Brother and Sister Matt and Varity Pettus; Nephews, Sean, Silas, King, A.J., Travis, David, Skyler and Daniel; Nieces, Angel “Beef Stew” and Kyra Jae; Cousins, Tommy and Nancy “Darlin”, Chris “Pedeek”, Joe “Guy Jr”, Robert “Haleberg”, Eric and Kelsey; Mother-In-Law, Clea (Gary) Curry; and Many, many close friends whom he loved deeply.

Celebration of Life, Saturday, November 25, 2017, 4:00 p.m., Price Elks Lodge. Family suggests making memorial contribution to Mountain America Credit Union in Anna Thomas’ name.
