PRICE, UTAH – Utah State Eastern sophomore guard Kristupas Totoris has been named Scenic West Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
Totoris receives this honor after his record-breaking night last Thursday in a 98-74 win over Colorado Northwest.
Against the Spartans he broke the record for most threes in a game with 11. The record was previously held by fellow teammate Neema Namdar who broke the record five days earlier.
Totoris finished the game with 35 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists while shooting 12-15 from the field and 11-14 from three point range.
This season Totoris is averaging 14.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in his second year with the Eagles.
It is the second time this season that a USU Eastern men’s basketball player has received conference player of the week honors. In November, sophomore forward Rafael Monteiro received the honor.
Totoris and the Eagles are 11-8 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
This week the Eagles will hit the road to take on Snow College on Thursday and the College of Southern Idaho on Saturday.
