The Carbon Lady Dinos earned their fourth consecutive win in dominating fashion by beating the Providence Hall Patriots 66-25 Thursday evening at home.

Using a steady performance throughout, Carbon methodically pulled away by winning each individual quarter comfortably. Holding a 29-16 lead at the end of the first half, the Lady Dinos outscored the Patriots 37-9 over the final 16 minutes.

Abbie Saccomanno led a group of balanced Carbon scorers with 14 points, including three makes from beyond the three-point line. Jodi Noyes poured in 11 points, and Diana Morley scored nine. Both Jordan Bianco and Kelsey Sorenson contributed eight.

The Patriots converted on just seven shots from the field, compared to 25 for Carbon. Isabel Page paced the offense in the loss with 12 points, while Jesirae Berthoud finished with six.

Thursday’s win gives Carbon sole possession of second place in Region 14 with a record of 7-2. The team has won each of their last four games by double-digits, the smallest margin of victory being ten against Juab on Tuesday.

With only three games remaining on the regular season slate, Carbon will return to the court on Tuesday with a road contest against Maeser Prep. The Lady Dinos enjoyed a 54-13 win at home in the first meeting between the two schools this season back on Jan. 4.
