Break out the poodle skirts, slick back that hair for the South Eastern Utah Energy Producers Association annual banquet on Thursday, March 1 at the Carbon County Fairgrounds Event Center. This year’s theme is Fabulous 50’s and organizers encourage guests to dress in their nifty fifties attire.

“That’s an era that is popular with everyone and it’s just a fun, lighthearted era and we have Kitty and The Cruisers coming in to play for us and we have excellent food and we’ll have old cars there to look at, it’s just going to be a really good time,” said an Event Organizer, Kristi Wilson. The Rock n’ Coal affair will begin with a cocktail hour at 5:30 pm, with a delicious dinner by Sam Farlaino to be served at 6:00 pm.

The money earned from the sale of banquet tickets will fund community outreach through energy related training and education, plus help students who are pursuing careers in the energy industry with scholarships. “You can purchase a table or individual tickets they are $60.00; tables start at $250.00 and they go all the way up to $2,000.00 for a front row table,” stated Event Organizer, Shannon Heugly. Each table seats eight guests and includes cocktails, dinner, plus live entertainment for the evening. Tickets are going fast and can be purchased by visiting the SEUPA office located at 97 East 100 North in Price or by calling (435) 636-7205.

Each year SEUPA does a giveaway during the banquet and awards one lucky winner with a prize and this year it’s a Utah Jazz package. To learn more about SEUPA visit their website at http://www.seuepa.org/
