The Carbon Lady Dinos opened the brand new golf season with a fourth place finish at the Cove View Golf Course in Richfield Wednesday afternoon.

Competing against five other schools the Lady Dinos accumulated 421 points, just one behind third place Juab. Delta cruised to a first place nod with 399 points, followed by Union’s 416. Providence Hall and Maeser Prep rounded out the field of six.

Junior Sam King led the way for the Lady Dinos ending with a 95. Aubrey Fausett delivered the second score finishing with 99. Jordan Bianco shot a 104, and Kirsten Etzel registered the fourth score with a 123.

With the season now off and rolling, Carbon will participate in five more region meets. The stroke count will be kept on a running total, determining the final standings following the finale at Union on April 25.

The Lady Dinos will continue the golf season Wednesday, March 14 when they travel to meet Providence Hall at the Mountain View Golf Course. The team is expected to tee-off around 10:00 a.m..
