The Price American Legion Post #3 will have their office open for the issuance of American Flags to families of local Veterans buried in Carbon County. The office will only be open from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Thursday, May 24 for family members to stop by for a flag to mark the grave of their loved one.
The members of Price American Legion Post #3, in conjunction with Price VFW, will be conducting Memorial Day Services on Monday, May 28 starting at 9:00 am at the Helper City Cemetery located on Cemetery Hill. The general public is encouraged to attend these services to show their appreciation and gratitude towards all of those that have served or those still serving this great country.
Following the first service in Helper, will be followed by two services in Price. Price City Main Cemetery will start at 10:00 am and Price City Cliffview Cemetery will begin at 10:45 am. Wellington services will start at the city cemetery at 11:30 am. East Carbon will have two services, 1:00 pm at the Main Cemetery and 1:30 pm at the New Cemetery.
They would like to invite any Veterans of all service branches to participate and pay tribute to American Serviceman and women, alive and dead, who dedicated part of themselves to service and allegiance to their flag, their God and their country. Veterans that wish to participate are encouraged to wear their uniform and assemble with Honor Guard personnel fifteen minutes prior to conducting each service at the various locations
