Helper American Legion baseball will open up the 2018 season Wednesday against the Price Raptors at Carlson-Colosimo Field in Price.

The 2018 schedule will feature eight home games for Helper throughout the regular season, seven of which will be in Southern Division play. The State Tournament will follow on July 19 with the opening round games, followed by the conclusion on July 26-29.

The first home game of the season will take place under the lights on June 15 as Helper plays host to Dixie in league play at 7:30 p.m..

Other key dates include a four-game pre-season tournament in Idaho from June 7-9, a double-header in Richfield on June 19, and the home season finale against Springville on July 14.

This year’s 19U roster features 17 players in all. Seniors on this year’s roster will include Cody Lowe, Nate Olson, Triton Abeyta, JP Powell, Jadon Robertson and Zac Bradley. Jayden Flemett, a Carbon graduate from the class of 2017, will also return to play out his final year of eligibility.

Helper will once again be led by Carbon High School manager Jeff Cisneros. Kyle Abeyta, Mike Smith and Cole Fossat will serve as assistant coaches.

Following the home opener Helper will travel to Burley, Idaho for a three day tournament on June 7, 8 and 9.
