Each month a representative from Carbon County Chamber of Commerce visits Castle Country Radio to discuss upcoming events taking place within the community with our listeners. CCCC Treasurer, Jana Hopes was this month’s guest and she talked about their new location, community barbeque and their monthly luncheon.

“We have moved to the new County Administration Building, we’re upstairs in the old tourism office, so it’s up in the southwest corner and it will be a great location for us and we’re excited about it,” stated Hopes. This is going to benefit the chamber the by allowing them to work closely with county entities and it’s a convenient central location for the public.

On June 12, Pinnacle Peak Pharmacy will host a Community Barbeque at 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm. “They’re going to have a lot of different things going on that will get people engaged in the barbeque and good food and you can’t go wrong,” said Hopes. The pharmacy is located inside the Castleview Urgent Care located at 317 East 100 North. The pharmacy offers the following services medication management, evaluations, home delivery, patient education, nutritional supplements and flu shots. They are the first in our area to offer a convenient drive-thru window. They are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and closed on Sundays.

This month’s chamber luncheon will take place on June 21 at 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on the campus of USU-Eastern inside the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center. “This one is going to be a networking luncheon where we have different people sitting at different tables so that we can network together and our businesses can correlate with each other and see what’s working for them that can help us out,” said Hopes. This month’s Business Spotlight will be two businesses, JBs Restaurant and WeePlay Care; the Community Service Spotlight will be South Eastern Utah Energy Producers Association.

The cost to attend is $14.00 for chamber members and $20.00 for non-chamber members. Must RSVP by the June 15 by emailing cccc@carboncountychamber.net or call 637-2788.
