The Desert Thunder Raceway has rescheduled May’s set of postponed races to coincide with the Castle Country Clash during the last weekend in September.

Originally scheduled for May 11 and 12, the races will now take place Saturday, Sept. 29 and Sunday, Sept. 30 at 12:00 p.m.. The Castle Country Clash will highlight the weekend on Friday, Sept. 28 and Saturday, 29 at 6:00 p.m..

The four races in three-days will be a new experience at the Desert Thunder Raceway. A typical weekend at the track offers spectators racing action on Friday and Saturday.

The first race of the season took place on April 13 and 14. The second set was held just two weeks later on April 28 and 29. Heavy rain and wind forced the rescheduling of the May races.

After hosting just a single set of races in 2016, the track increased the number of active weekends to three in 2017. The four sets of races in 2018 will be the most the track has played host to since 2015.
