Our loving mother, grandmother and friend, Yvonne Leautaud Jones, age 92, passed away peacefully March 22, 2016 at the Heirloom Inn in Price.

She was one of five children born to John J. and Augusta Ricard Leautaud on July 26, 1923 in Price, Utah.

Yvonne married the love of her life, Ross L. Jones on March 11, 1946 in Elko, Nevada, their marriage was later blessed at Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church in Price.  Ross preceded her in death on September 11, 2008.

Yvonne was an active member of Notre Dame Catholic Church.  She was a lifelong resident of Carbon County who retired from the Carbon County Assessor’s Office as Deputy Assessor.  She  loved tending to her roses, playing cards with her friends, camping, going south for the winter and traveling with Ross and the Good Sam Club.   Yvonne touched the life’s of many and her  sweet spirit, tender ways and friendship will be cherished in our hearts forever. 

She is survived by her son and daughter, Randy (Jane) Jones, Grand Junction, CO, Marilyn (Kevin) Jewkes, Price; daughter-in-law, Debbie Jones, Grand Junction, CO; seven grandchildren, Jesse (Kylie) Jones, Kristie Jones, Brenda Jones, Brison Jones, Niki Jewkes, Tami (Derek) Jones and Kevin (Kim) Jewkes; 14 great-grandchildren, many loving nieces, nephews and lifelong friends and neighbors.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ross L. Jones; son, Gary L. Jones; brothers, Frank and Albert Leautaud; sisters, Louise Iriart and Margurite Lamicq.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at the Heirloom, especially Robin and Kelly.  Also a special thanks to Symbii Home Health and Arin.

Funeral Mass, Wednesday, March 30, 2016, 10:00 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church with the Vigil service beginning at the church at 9:30 a.m.  Committal service, Price City Cemetery under the entrusted care of Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Yvonne online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
