With only one week remaining in the American Legion baseball season the playoff push is in full swing as 12 teams compete for eight spots.

The top four teams each of the two divisions will move on to the State Championship Tournament on July 19 in Pleasant Grove.

With games against Roosevelt, Westlake (twice) and Springville still on the schedule, Helper remains in contention for the Southern Division’s top spot. Helper will play three of the remaining four games at home, beginning with Roosevelt on July 10.

Price has been eliminated from playoff contention with only two games remaining on their regular season schedule. Price will next take the field July 13 at home against Westlake, before wrapping up the season July 14 against Roosevelt.
