VEHICLE RECOVERED JULY 1, 2018:
Last week, Emery County Sheriff’s Office asked for the public’s help in locating a 2016 Jeep Renegade with Colorado plates OCS-909 that was directly linked to a homicide investigation out of Colorado. The burned vehicle was located yesterday in Emery County and is being processed by Colorado investigators assigned to the case. The suspect turned himself into authorities in Colorado last week and remains behind bars. ECSO would like to thank everyone who helped search for this key piece of evidence.

he Emery County Sheriff’s Office needs help from members of the community to be on the lookout for a 2016 Jeep Renegade with Colorado plates OCS-909. This vehicle which is believed to be somewhere on the San Rafael Desert.

The vehicle is directly linked to a homicide investigation out of Colorado. The suspect turned himself into authorities in Colorado and is currently behind bars. The information he provided led authorities to the body of his victim in Millard County. However, the vehicle is another key piece of evidence in the case and after two days of ground and air searches, it has not been located. It is possible that the vehicle is burned.

ECSO reminds the public that if they do come across the vehicle, to please not touch or disturb it in any way. Immediately contact the Emery County Sheriff’s Office at 435-381-2404 to report the location of the vehicle. An organized ground search will continue over a broad area conducted by Emery County Sheriff Search and Rescue Team.
