The Carbon Lady Dinos suffered a 6-2 loss to the North Sanpete Hawks in the Region 12 opener Tuesday evening in Mount Pleasant.

Kinley Nelson was charged with the loss on the hill as the Lady Dinos failed to produce much offense in the league opener. Lexie Olsen was awarded the win for North Sanpete as they earned their second win in five games.

Desi Lantz recorded the lone extra base hit for the Lady Dinos with a double. Tuesday's loss marks the second straight for the Lady Dinos, following a three game winning streak.

Now 7-3 overall and 0-1 in Region 12 play, Carbon will look to get back on Thursday, March 31 when they travel to Moab to take on the Grand Red Devils. The next home game for the Lady Dinos will take place Friday, April 1 against American Fork. The next Region 12 contest will take Carbon to Richfield on April 5.
