Price City’s International Days Celebration is the city’s biggest celebration of the year with several activities, events, live entertainment, food and various vendors. The three-day event begins on Thursday, July 26 through till Saturday, July 28.
Inaugural Ceremonies will take place on Thursday evening at 6:30 pm at the Peace Gardens on Main Street. The Price American Legion Post 3 and the Price Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2379 will conduct the posting of colors, with the National Anthem being performed by Guys Who Sing.
Opening remarks will be made by Mayor Mike Korianos and Chairperson Leif Nelson. There will an introduction and award ceremony to this year’s Grand Marshall, Daniel Garvin, Citizen of the Year, Frank Ori and Junior Grand Marshalls, Kyle Morgan and Patience Andrews.
The remainder of the evening will feature a Price City tradition with live entertainment by Los Hermanos de los Andes. The group is an Andean folk music ensemble made up of musicians Edgar Zurita, Alvaro Salazar, Juan Soto, Elias Perez, Victor Soto y Luis Zurita. Their purpose is to preserve and share their rich musical heritage using authentic ethnic instruments dating back to the ancient Inca civilization.
International food concessions by USU-Eastern Food Service will be sold during the concert. To commemorate the 2018 International Days Celebration will be an amazing display of fireworks set off from Wood Hill sponsored by AutoFarm and Price Auto Group.
On both Thursday and Friday, the public is welcome to Rock the Pool at the Desert Wave Pool’s free swim from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The annual belly flop and hula hoop contest will be featured, along with other activities on both days for chances to win prizes. Swimmers will be able to purchase delicious items from the concession stand. This event is proudly sponsored by Pinnacle HVAC and Boys & Girls Club of Price.
Activities will kick off on Friday, July 27 at 9:30 am with the Kid’s Parade, the lineup will begin at 9:00 am by meeting in the parking lot east of Mont Harmon Football field. Kids can enter their decorated bikes, wagons, scooters and strollers to Washington Park to enjoy fun activities, including the climbing wall, face painting, carnival games all sponsored by Castleview Hospital from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
All the traditional things that visitors have come to know and love every year, food, games, vendor booths, live entertainment will be set up and open in Washington Park beginning at 12:00 pm. Guests can stop by the Plein Aire Artist, carnival, taste International Desserts by USU Eastern Food Services, check out the Harley Davidson exhibit, as well as the new Auto, RV and ATV expo, rock crawlers, kids mobile derby, video game tournament and laser tag.
The annual tire-frying Burnout Contest will begin at 7:00 pm on Main Street featuring cars and trucks old and new. The family can end the night at Pioneer Park by enjoying the movie Sandlot.

Saturday will begin bright and early with the annual Lion’s Club Breakfast at 7:00 am, followed by the United Way’s 5K starting at 8:00 am. The annual golf tournament out at the Carbon Country Club will have a shotgun start of 8:00 am where various holes are sponsored by many businesses and merchants in the area.
Parade goers can gather for the annual parade set to begin at 10:00 am and running along Main Street and 600 East down to 100 West. After the parade guests can head to Washington and Pioneer park to enjoy all the similar activities held on Friday, with the addition of Carbon Rec’s basketball and horseshoe tournament, along with the spectacular car show which is always held at Pioneer Park. Kids Derby will start at 1:00 pm north of Pioneer Park and is open to any children ages seven years old to ten years old.
Event organizers encourage folks to bring their lawn chairs or blankets find a great spot in the park and enjoy all the International Days activities.
