A senseless act of vandalism was discovered on Friday in Huntington Canyon to a track hoe that sustained so much damage that it is no long operable.

In dealing with the aftermath of the Trail Mountain Fire the piece of heavy equipment was strategically placed throughout drainages in the canyon. This equipment plays a vital role in protecting the roadway, the public, and culinary, industrial and irrigation water supplies from the debris flow and flooding coming off the burn scar.
