Matt Blazer, who started a business in town two years ago called Intermark Steel is going to talk from the perspective of a new and expanding business in the community at the September 27th BEAR meeting.  He will talk about what he is doing and why he is locating it here. He will discuss the current and future levels of employment and his vision for his business. He will also talk about the process his business has gone through to get where it is today, successfully bridging the gap between a rural business that does urban projects and supply.

Blazers business has been and outstanding success, with financial support from Pro Carbon and the Southeastern Utah Association of Local Governments Revolving Loan Fund. After only two years in business, last spring, Blazer was able to pay off loans that both groups awarded him.

BEAR’s mission is to inform, grow and improve business in the Castle Country area. In the case of Intermark Steel, Castle Country BEAR was able to give informational and logistical support to Blazer his quest to make his business successful.

The meeting will start at 8 a.m. and light refreshments will be served. The meetings are held at the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center in the Alumni Room on the USU Eastern Campus in Price.
