Emery High School junior Kiri Cook received an honorable mention for her play on the soccer field in regards to 3A All-State team for the 2018 season, it was announced earlier this week.

Cook delivered consistency at goalie throughout the year as the team finished third in the highly competitive Region 15. Individually, Cook helped Emery record two shutouts during the 2018 season.

Cook represents the only member of the Lady Spartans soccer team to receive recognition on the 3A All-State team. The All-State team selections are voted on by coaches in the classification.

Despite suffering a 4-0 loss to Judge Memorial in the quarterfinals of the 3A State Tournament, Emery managed to record a win over Carbon in the opening round of the playoffs.
