George Wilson Deeter, Jr., 62, went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 15, 2018 surrounded by loved ones.

He was born June 4, 1956 in Somerset, Pennsylvania to George Wilson Sr. and Mary Lou Pelliccione. On May 20, 1983, George married Brenda Kay Byrge in Aurora, Colorado; their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple.

George was a truck driver for over 25 years and he promised his father-in-law years ago that he would get a good job to take care of his family and that’s exactly what he did. His greatest joy was his grandkids. He loved Mikey busting through the door every morning yelling “where’s grandpa”, watching Nova and Daytin fighting over the arm of the couch to sit by grandpa, and Gracie being jealous of being too big to sit there anymore. He loved reading to his grandkids and taking them to the Dollar Store. He loved taking a drive to Indianola to see his grandchildren. George also loved his granddaughter Jacelyn with all his heart, even though he didn’t get to see her very much.

George loved his children very much and he always made sure they never went without. He always gave advice in a loving way and made sure they knew he cared. George loved his daughters-in-law Amanda and Aubree, and son-in-law, Jared like they were his own. George enjoyed taking his granddog Oreo outside to fetch. George and Brenda loved to travel and have taken many trips across the United States. He loved hooking up the trailer and traveling with his wife that he loved dearly.

George loved spending time with his family in Pennsylvania. He enjoyed going to see his siblings, Uncle Dom and going to the yearly family reunion. George was an amazing man that had such a big heart. He loved every single person in his family unconditionally without limits.

George was very patriotic and loved his county and President Trump. He would spend hours watching the news until his blood would boil… Then he’d watch some more. George was also a die hard Steeler’s fan, no matter how many Bronco fans gave him a hard time.

George is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Deeter, Carbonville; his four children, Sierra (Jared) Simms, Spring Glen, Billy (Amanda) Deeter, Carbonville, Joey Deeter, Carbonville, George III (Aubree) Deeter, Spring Glen; 22 grandchildren; siblings, Harry (Lea) Deeter, Pam Deeter, Patty (Brad) Kinsinger and Diane Deeter, all of Somerset, PA; uncle, Dominic (Laura) Pelliccione, Daytona Beach, FL; aunt, Carrie Glassmeyer, Glendale, CA; special niece, Felicia Davis, Carbonville; many loving nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law.

Preceded in death by his parents, loving in-laws, Chuck and Colleen Byrge; and brothers-in-law, Rodney and Stew Byrge.

Since George wasn’t big on flowers, the family requested donations to the Lost & Found Recovery Ministry, 275 North Main, Helper, Utah C/O of David Safford or bring a balloon to his service.
