Our loving husband, father and the best “Bapa Joe,” Frankie Joe Ward, 71, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, March 1, 2019.
He was born November 1, 1947 in Huntington, Utah to Heber and Marjorie Johnson Ward.
Married Berta Madge Larsen in Cleveland, Utah on September 19, 1964, she passed away on November 6, 2014. After Berta’s passing Joe met and fell in love with Ardyth Bell and they were married December 7, 2018 in Huntington. Joe and Ardee had many fun adventures on the desert and visiting kids and grandkids in Wyoming. Together they had many scary adventures in the old Corvette
Joe had a special love for his family and there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for them. He had a great love for the outdoors, spending time on the desert or in the mountains camping with his family. He loved to hunt and never missed a hunting trip, even if he didn’t have a tag. He was the best camp cook there was. Joe had a special place in his heart for his grandkids and great grandkids.
Joe was a lifelong resident of Emery County and a Huntington City Council Member who took great pride in his community. He was a tireless worker who worked construction and also retired from Deer Creek Coal Mine as a Diesel Superintendent. He shared a special love for old cars, going to car shows and restoring vehicles. We will miss his laugh, constant teasing, big stories, and especially lunch everyday at Grandpa’s. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. Rest in peace dad we all love you very much.
