Run, Walk, Be Irish at Washington Federal’s St Patrick’s Day 5K Fun Run Fundraiser on Saturday, March 16 at 9:00 am. The race will start and end at the Price branch located at 308 East Main Street.

The entry fee to participate is “free” – the only thing organizers ask is for every participating athlete to donate a new pair of kids’ shoes (sizes kindergarten thru 12th). All of the items gathered will be donated to United Way of Eastern Utah’s Soles 2 Souls Program.

The Soles 2 Souls program is to assist those students in need by providing them with a brand-new pair of shoes to start their school year off with. United Way of Eastern Utah found that teachers and school staff were continually using their own money to help these students so they felt there was a need for a shoe program in the area.

Participants can choose to run, walk, push the kids in the strollers, walk with their pets, it’s just a great way to start off the holiday festivities that will be taking place around the community. Don’t forget to wear your best St Patrick’s Day attire.
