The Emery Spartan soccer squad defeated the South Sevier Rams 7-1 on Thursday in Castle Dale. Emery scored six goals in the first half and never looked back in a Region 15 match-up.

Brock Winter kept terrorizing opposing goalkeepers as he scored three goals to continue his season tear. Bryan McCandless, Colten Childs, Gage Mangum and Spencer Hadfield each scored one run to solidify the win.

It has been an up and down season for the Spartans, coming off of a region loss against Grand on March 21st. Emery sits at 4-4-2 which puts them in third in the conference standings.

Emery is in the middle of a stretch where they have gone 3-1-2 in their last six games , with six more to go. They will have four games against previously faced opponents, and two against the Richfield Wildcats.

The Spartans return to the field on Tuesday to take on Richfield. The game is scheduled for 4 pm.
