The Carbon Dinos beat the Juab Wasps 15-11 in a Region 14 game Monday afternoon in Price.

Down by one run in the first inning, Carbon exploded offensively in the second with six runs and then adding runs in the fourth and sixth innings taking the score to the final tally. Juab was efficient scoring runs in every inning but the seventh.

Sophomore Brooke Moosman and senior Dakota Kraushaar were the only pitchers to take the mound for Carbon. Moosman went four innings giving up four hits, six runs (one earned) and striking out one. Dakota went two innings giving up no hits and no runs.

Offensively the Dinos were lead by freshman Graycie Hansen with three runs she also had a double in the game. Kraushaar and sophomore Kennedy Nelson added doubles of their own while senior Kaytlyn Cripps added a home run.

The game puts Carbon at 13-10 overall and 6-3 in Region 14 play. Carbon currently sits in third place in conference play with one region game to go and a non-region tilt against Emery left in the regular season.

The Dinos return to the field today against American Leadership Academy. Start time for today’s game is 3:30.
