The Utah Clubhouse Network (UCN) Annual Conference will be held on May 15 through the 17 on the USU-Eastern Campus Jennifer Leavitt Building.  This year’s theme for the Conference is “Bones of Recovery”.  The conference’s purpose is to provide opportunities and training for adults with mental illness to gather together for support, to break down barriers in communities and to share ideas that can strengthen their Clubhouses to better serve their members.

Those in attendance will be from Journey House – Layton, Alliance House – Salt Lake City, New Reflections – Tooele, Wasatch House – Provo, Interact – Moab and New Heights Clubhouse – Price.  The clubhouse model is a world-wide, evidence-based mental health program to assist adults experiencing mental illness.

Immediately following the conference on Friday, May 17 at 11:00 am there will be a Mental Health Awareness Walk and Lunch held.  This event is open to all members in the community.  The opening ceremony will begin at the Eagles Nest on the USU-Eastern Campus located behind the Library and will feature speakers from Four Corner Community Behavioral Health and the community.  The walk will end at the Pavilion at Pioneer Park.  Lunch will be served to guests which has been donated by Little Caesars.

The community is welcomed and encouraged to come and support this event to increase awareness of mental illness. For further information on the event please contact Four Corners Behavioral Health at (435) 637-2358.
