MaryEllen Magnuson Johnson passed peacefully away at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah on July 10, 2019 after a brief illness while surrounded by her family.
She was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 1977 in Price, Utah to John and Tawna Magnuson. She married Brian Johnson on November 25, 1998 in Taylorsville, Utah. They were blessed with two boys, Ian and Connor.
MaryEllen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She spent her working career in the medical field helping others. She was always thinking of others and doing kind things for friends and strangers alike.
MaryEllen loved her family, elephants, her boxers, the Denver Broncos and the Utah Jazz. She enjoyed the outdoors and camping. She enjoyed cooking, especially with her husband, Brian, and was an avid reader, always found with a book. Brian and MaryEllen recently celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in Costa Rica. They loved the band Blackberry Smoke and enjoyed their music and concerts together.

She is survived by her husband Brian Johnson; sons, Ian Kinsey Johnson and Connor Mathew Johnson; step-daughters, Amanda and KayLeigh Johnson; grandsons, Chazen Paxman and Gavin Schritter; parents, John and Tawna Magnuson, Helper, UT; sister Melanie (Dallas) Johnson, Rexburg, ID; and nieces and nephews.
MaryEllen was preceded in death by all four grandparents, Bruce Magnuson, Margaret Magnuson, Vergil Draney and Lila Busetto; and niece, Cora.
Funeral service, Monday, July 15, 2019, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home in Price. Family will received friends at Mitchell Funeral Home Sunday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and an hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment, Mt. View Cemetery in Helper. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome and may share memories of MaryEllen online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
